President-CATS

Dear Valued-Members and Well Wishers,

Capital Area Telugu Society (CATS) is a non-profit organization that serves the Telugu community in the Washington DC metro area, which includes Northern Virginia and Maryland.

CATS aims to integrate and promote the Telugu community with other communities in the region, with a primary focus on promoting Telugu language, arts, and culture. Since 2005, CATS has been actively promoting the Telugu language by offering regular classes and camps to help the next generation learn it. The organization promotes culture through events focusing on religion, festivals, dance, music, and sports. CATS also encourages community volunteerism through charitable activities such as health camps and food drives.

It is my great honor to serve as the President of this esteemed society for the term of 2024-25. The previous presidents have made significant contributions to the growth and success of our organization through their vision and unparalleled commitment. As the new President, I promise to maintain the momentum and work tirelessly to promote our organization and cultural values throughout the community. Together with your help and support, as well as that of our generous donors, we can preserve our heritage and pass it on to future generations.

Members and donors are the backbone of our financial strength. Your contributions have enabled us to organize successful events for the benefit of our community. I respectfully request that you continue to support us at the same level of generosity to sustain and improve the standards of our programs for the benefit of our community. This will help us maintain CATS as a standard-bearer of Telugu in the DC Metro area.  I am proud to say that the success of our programs is the result of our meticulous planning, teamwork, and execution by our committee and volunteers. We are grateful to have such a dedicated team that strives to make our events successful.
